ALTAMONT — James P. “Red” Breslin, 56, of Altamont died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa.

He was born June 29, 1953, in Los Angeles to Francis and Ellen (Bailey) Breslin. He grew up and attended schools in Trona, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He worked at Spears Manufacturing Co. in Caney until becoming ill.

Survivors include his companion, Becky Carter, of the home, Altamont; two sons, Tom Breslin and Jimmy Breslin, both of New Mexico; two daughters, Heather Mulvey and Heidi Melby, both of California; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Holleman of Henderson, Nev., and Marcella Reynolds of Las Vegas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be at 11 a.m. today at Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
