Jayne Denise Wells, 52, of Parsons died early Monday morning, May 10, 2010, in the Select Specialty Hospice Unit at St. Francis Via Christi Regional Medical Center at Wichita. Her death followed a short illness.

She was born May 12, 1957, at Parsons to Dale Everett and Betty Jean (Myers) Wells. She grew up in Dennis and attended rural schools. She graduated from Labette County High School.

One of her first jobs was at the Katy Hospital. At the time of her death, she was employed at Ruskins Manufacturing Co.

She attended Dennis United Methodist Church.

Survivors include four brothers, Dale Maynard Wells of Jefferson, Ga., John Wells of Erie, James “Jim” Wells of Topeka and Randy Wells of Erie; and a sister, Carol Williams of Wichita.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Garry Wells and Lloyd Wayne Wells; and a sister, Judy Gale.

The body will be cremated. The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Carson-Wall Funeral Home with the Rev. Kris Brinlee officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
