The Parsons Habitat for Humanity chapter will have an open house and key exchange for the family moving into the Habitat house at 1201 Leonard. The event will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday. The public is invited to tour the home and attend the blessing of the home and the ribbon cutting and key exchange, which will be at 11 a.m.
The Habitat project began with a groundbreaking ceremony in November 2008. Since then, community volunteers have logged more than 3,200 volunteer hours on the project.
P.A.W.S. to meet
The Parsons Amateur Woodworkers Society (P.A.W.S.) will meet at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Parsons Arboretum. Visitors are welcome.
