She was born Aug. 17, 1923, in Kansas City, Mo., to Caleb and Lucille Veitch.
She lived most of her life in Kansas City, Mo., except for two years at Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul.
She married Elbert B. Wayne Hopkins on March 7, 1948, in Kansas City.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews by marriage, including Karen Steinbacher of St. Paul.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawnee. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday.
McGilley State Line Chapel in Kansas City, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
