Mike Godfrey, 48, of Parsons died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2008, at the home of a friend in Parsons following a lengthy illness.

He was born March 25, 1960, in Smithville, Mo.

He worked for several fiberglass companies in designing and manufacturing.

Survivors include three daughters, Summer Padilla of Baxter Springs, Sharon Godfrey of Neosho, Mo., and Ashley Godfrey of Lee's Summit, Mo.; a son, Seth Michael Godfrey of Baxter Springs; a stepson, Shawn Burrows of Neosho, Mo.; his mother and stepfather, Connie and Roger Callahan of Pleasant Valley, Mo.; two grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Godfrey of Smithville, Mo., and David Schrage of Platte City, Mo.; and a sister, Kelly Peterson of Tillamook, Ore.

The service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir. Burial will be in Hosey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Doris E. Clemons

OSWEGO -- Doris Elvanora Clemons, 91, of Oswego died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Oswego Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident.

She was born in Carmen, Okla., to William Logan Devereaux and Minnie (Wing) Devereaux. She attended the Carmen Grade School, graduated from Carmen High School in 1936 and the Bible College in Enid, Okla.

She married Raymond O. Clemons on July 25, 1937, at Carmen, Okla. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1992. They had no children.

They pastored churches in Columbus, Arcadia and Pleasanton and in Kansas City, Mo. She also worked at a drug store in Kansas City. Following retirement, they moved back to Oswego in 1970.

She was a member of Oswego Assembly of God and the Women's Ministries.

Survivors include a brother, Max Devereaux and his wife Oleta, of Hurst, Texas; two sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

The service was Saturday in Oswego. Burial was at Oswego Cemetery.

Charles Norman Fink

CHERRYVALE -- Charles Norman Fink, 91, of Cherryvale died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Cherryvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born May 25, 1917, in rural Cherryvale to Charles O. and Nina E. (Vanderpool) Fink. He grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from Cherryvale High School.

On April 15, 1943, he married Evelyn Irene Housel in Cherryvale. She preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 2007.

He served in he U.S. Air Force as a pilot and flight instructor for 10 years. He and his wife, Evelyn, started Charloma Inc. in Cherryvale in 1969 and operated the business until their retirement.

Survivors include a son, Charles O. Fink of Cherryvale; a daughter, Alice L. Wells of Cherryvale; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The service will be at 10 a.m. today at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale.

The family suggests memorials to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or the Cherryvale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. These may be left at or sent to the funeral home, 401 Clark St., Cherryvale, 67335.

Owen Duling

WALNUT -- Owen Duling, 80, of rural Walnut died at 3:16 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, in the emergency room of the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute. Death was unexpected. His wife, Frances, survives.
