REPUBLIC — Elden Evert, 85, of Republic died Wednesday, April 21, 2010.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1924, in Republic to Elmer and Addie (Thompson) Evert.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Evert of Republic; two sons, Ronald Evert and Randall Evert, both of Belleville; two daughters, Vicki Hallagin of Ellis and Lorraine Evert of Parsons; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Cliff Evert of Santa Anna, Calif.; and a sister, Darlene Jensen of Courtland.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, 1104 20th St., Belleville. There will be a family inurnment at Prairie Rose Cemetery, Republic. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
