ERIE — Doris J. Goley, 94, of Erie died at 12:54 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010, at the Parsons Presbyterian Manor. She had been active and in her usual health until the past few months.

She was born Dec. 20, 1915, near Deer Creek, Okla., to Joel S. and Katherine P. (Shen) McKee. She grew up in the Edmond, Okla., area and graduated from the Edmond High School. She also attended Central State Teacher’s College at Edmond.

On July 31, 1938, she married Wilbur R. Goley at Norman, Okla. She helped with the family farm in Erie. Mr. Goley preceded her in death on March 17, 1992.

Survivors include a son, Joe W. Goley of Grove, Okla.; a daughter, Patricia Wyatt of Lenexa; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Erie Federated Church. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
