DUNWOODY, Ga. -- Zelda M. Johnson, 80, of Dunwoody, Ga., died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008.

She was born in Dennis, Kan., and taught piano lessons. She was a former president of the North Dekalb Music Teachers Association and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph W. Johnson, of Dunwoody, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Becky Johnson of Lorena, Texas and Sydney and Nola Johnson of Waxhaw, N.C.; son-in-law, Gene Freck of Decatur, Ga.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Freck; her parents, John S. and Mildred Wiggins Howell and one brother, Dale Howell.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Atlanta. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
