He was born on Aug. 17, 1918, to Frank and Maggie (Allred) Donald at Scammon.
He married Ruby Kelley on June 27, 1942. She survives of the home.
He served in the U.S. Army. He retired as a farmer.
Other survivors include a daughter, Patty Ashby of Oswego; a grandson; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Altamont. Interment will be in the National Cemetery at Fort Scott under the direction of Murray Funeral Home of Bolivar, Mo. Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, 400 Wabash, Altamont, 67330.
