TULSA — Martha Lee Massa, 88, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, in a Tulsa hospital following a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 14, 1921, to Cecil and Altha (Morgan) Clark in Parsons. Martha Lee graduated from Labette County Community High School in 1939.
She married George “Elmer” Massa in 1941.
Survivors include a son, Cecil Massa of Tulsa; a daughter, Karen Smith and her husband, Dewayne, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Valeria Lortz and her husband, Bob, of Phoenix; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer; and two sisters, Margaret Johnson and Helen Crooks.
She enjoyed a rich full life at her daughter’s following the death of her husband, Elmer, surrounded by her computer (e-mails and solitaire), listening to lots of library books and the music she loved. The last picture of her was taken just a couple of weeks before her death holding her newest great-grandchild, 4 month old Jace Ogren.
Her body has been cremated. A memorial service is pending.
