She was born on Nov. 19, 1930, in Anthony to Dorsey D. and Lily Ogle (Ford) Waggoner.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her pets and collecting her “treasures.”
Survivors include two sons, Dexter Ray of Harper and Bobby Joe Ray of Parsons; three daughters, Berniece Coffey of Summersville, Mo., Bonnie Larchey of Braman, Okla., and Juanita Sue Hanks; a daughter-in-law, Laura Ray, of Harper; a brother, Jack Waggoner; five sisters, Verla Armstrong, Maxine Phye, Caroline “Corky” Ferda, Bernadine Smith and Marie “Tiny” Weichring; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert D. Ray in 1969; a son, Donald L. Ray; a daughter, Diana Bond; five brothers, Delvia, J.C., Benny, Harold and George Waggoner; and three sisters, Rita Carothers, Darlene Waggoner and JoAnn Galusha.
The service will be at 11 a.m. today at Argonia Cemetery. Pastor Ed Hughlett will officiate. A family pot-luck dinner will follow the service at Plains Church, 140th Road and U.S. 160. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at Argonia Cemetery.
