He was born March 8, 1959, in Pittsburg to Joe and Jane O’Hara. He grew up in Topeka and graduated from Topeka West High School in 1977. He attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a bachelor of fine arts in design in 1982.
He married Wendy Jo Spencer in 1997. They later divorced.
He worked for Xerox as a contractor at Stormont-Vail Hospital from 2001 until his death.
Survivors include his father, Joe O’Hara of Topeka; his sisters, Brigid “Deni” O’Hara of Wichita and Patrice O’Hara of Topeka; and an aunt in Parsons, Elaine Jefferson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane O’Hara.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial was at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
