She was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Barton County, Mo., to Smith Turner and Corena B. (Johnson) Rouse. She graduated from Mindenmines High School and from Pittsburg State University.
On March 8, 1947, she married Homer S. Kirk at Morse. He preceded her in death on April 24, 1986.
Mrs. Kirk was a music teacher.
Survivors include three sons, David Kirk of Port Jefferson, N.Y., Col. Donald Kirk of Carlisle, Pa., and Dennis Kirk of Falls Church, Va.; a daughter, Diane Irving of Toledo, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at College Heights United Methodist Church, Pittsburg. Private burial will be in the National Cemetery at Fort Scott at a later date. Friends may call at the family home.
