OSWEGO — Betty L. Walker, 89, of Oswego died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at Oswego Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

She was born April 7, 1920, in Oswego to Edgar and Lulu Mae (Albin) Gray. She graduated from Oswego High School in 1938.

She married James J. Walker on April 6, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 1983.

Betty enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oswego.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Wilks and his wife, Wanda, of Branson, Mo., and John Walker of Oswego; seven grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean Snyder of Oswego and JoAnn Lutz of Caney.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Luella Brown and Mary Amelia Coble.

The service will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Oswego with Pastor John Stone officiating. Burial will be in Oswego Cemetery under the direction of Murdock Funeral Home.
