GREECE, N.Y. — Betty (Rule) Alleman, 87, of Greece, N.Y., died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010.

Alleman was born on Aug. 30, 1922, in Parsons to Harry and Irene Rule. She was raised in Parsons.

Betty was active in many Rochester, N.Y., arts organizations.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Glen; a son, Thomas Alleman and his wife, Susan, of Dallas; a daughter, Martha Alleman of Churchville, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Sarah Hock, Virginia Hock and Samuel Alleman; and a sister-in-law, Mary Lee Rule of Raleigh, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William T. Rule.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3000 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. There will be a private burial later.
