INDEPENDENCE — Earl Clifton Foreman, 87, of Independence died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Windsor Place in Independence.

He was born Aug. 28, 1922, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Delbert and Viola (Goins) Foreman. He graduated from Parsons High School.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp.

On May 24, 1974, he married Betty Francis Larsen in Fort Scott. She survives of Independence.

He worked as a machinist at Emerson Electric.

Other survivors include two sons, Phil Foreman and Brian Foreman, both of Independence; a daughter, Sharon Smith of Independence; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Potts Chapel, Independence, was in charge of arrangements for cremation. Burial will be at a later date.
