CHERRYVALE — Pauline L. Jones, 86, of Cherryvale died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Garnett to Butch and Mayme (Wyleland) Tipton. She grew up and attended school in Garnett.

She owned and operated 59 Motel in Garnett.

On May 11, 1979, she married Fred Jones in Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.

Survivors also include three sons, Bob Ulses of Garnett, Rodney Ulses of Gardner and Brian Ulses of Ottawa; two daughters, Marcy Ulses of Virginia and Rhonda Jones of Overland Park; a brother, Billy Tipton of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; a sister, Betty Jean Kibby of Seattle; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The service will be at noon Friday at New Hope Christian Church in Cherryvale. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at Garnett Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Memorials are suggested to the New Hope Christian Church building fund and may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale.
