FAIRLAND — Jacky E. Depue, 77, of Fairland, formerly of Weir, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, after a sudden illness.

He was born Sept. 25, 1932, at Monmouth to Murl and Bertha (Sartin) Depue.

He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corp.

He married Carolyn Ann Southern on Oct. 20, 2004, at Fairland. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Jack Depue of O’Fallon, Mo., and James Depue of Hallam, Neb.; a stepson, Ken Carter of Mosul, Iraq; a daughter, Janet Laudett of Glenpool, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Dawn Carter of McKinney, Texas; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald Depue of Independence, Mo., and Bobby Depue of Greenwood, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The service will be at 10 a.m. today at Fairland Christian Church. Burial will be at 2 p.m. today at Monmouth Cemetery in Monmouth. Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland is in charge of arrangements.
