Dana (Doyne) Spector Lollis, 83, of Parsons died at 3:55 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Parsons Presbyterian Manor. She had been in failing health.

She was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Kansas City, Mo., to David and Jessie (Rosuck) Doyne. She attended schools in Parsons and was a graduate of Parsons High School.

She worked as a recreational therapist at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center for eight years.

She married Alvin Spector in Kansas City, Kan., in 1951. He preceded her in death in August 1968.

Survivors include a son, Sid Spector of Plato, Mo.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parsons Presbyterian Manor. The family will have a private committal service at a future date.

Memorials are suggested to the Kansas Special Olympics and may be left at or mailed to Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 374, Parsons, 67357.
