He was born April 4, 1948, at McAlester, Okla., to James and Maggie Pickle.
He grew up in Valley Center, where he graduated high school. He attended college at Midwest Christian College in Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was minister of Lone Wolf Christian Church.
He married Linda K. Layman in August 1970.
He is survived by two daughters, Eileen Pettyjohn of Guthrie, Okla., and Jamie Albertson of Coyle, Okla.; two granddaughters; a brother, J.M. Pickle Jr.; and a sister, Joyce Stepp.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The service will be at 10 a.m. today at First Christian Church in Lone Wolf. Burial will follow in Lone Wolf Cemetery under the direction of People's Co-operative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.
