SWANSEA, Ill. — Dixie Pearl Woodrum, 79, of Swansea, Ill., died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Rosewood Care Center of Swansea.
She was born on March 3, 1933, in Parsons.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra E. Sisk and her husband, Robert, of Millstadt, Ill.; five grandchildren, Sonya L. Schroeder and her husband, Jason, of Belleville, Ill., Olivia Leonard and Amy Leonard, both of Michigan, Gerald Weaver and Linda Canada and her husband, Casey, all of Roanoke, Va.; two great-grandsons, Keegan Canada and Brantly Canada, both of Roanoke, Va.; a sister, Pat Bland and her husband, Alvin, of Grove, Okla.; an aunt, Eloise Lyon of Parsons; four cousins, Fred LaRue, Les LaRue, Ginger Wheat and Sonya Johnson; and three nieces, Julie Parsons and her husband, Steve, of Parsons, Tori Wooster of Oklahoma and Mona Thiel of Maryland.
Per Dixie's wishes, there will not be a service. Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
