CHERRYVALE — Frank H. Winkleman, 66, of Cherryvale died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born April 8, 1946, the son of Harold and Letha I. (Gates) Winkleman. He grew up in Cherryvale and attended schools in Cherryvale and Labette County High School in Altamont. Frank worked for the city of Cherryvale in the Public Works Department for many years and later retired in 2010 from the Labette County Road and Bridge Department, where he worked as an equipment operator.

On Sept. 25, 1965, in Cherryvale he married Jeanne Lynn Ketcham. She survives at the home.

Other survivors include three brothers, Jerome Winkleman of Shelly, Idaho, John Winkleman of Buhl, Idaho, and Steve Winkleman of Cherryvale; and a sister, Diana Woldum of Cherryvale.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Wickham Family Funeral Home, 216 E. Fourth St. Friends may sign the register from noon until 8 p.m. Sunday at funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at Cherryvale.
