INDEPENDENCE — Amy Rosetta Schroder, 85, of Independence died at 4:05 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Montgomery Place Nursing Home in Independence.
She was born Nov. 16, 1927, in rural Altamont to Frank and Etta May (Meyers) Hinkle. As a young girl, she grew up and attended She married Arthur Triebel. They later divorced. She married Walter Paul Schroder. They later divorced. She raised her family in the rural Mound Valley area.
Survivors include a son, Duane Triebel of rural Elk City; two daughters, Etta Welch of Independence and Donna Engelmann of rural Independence; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; two sisters; and two sons, Leon Triebel and Monte Schroder.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Crystalbrook Church, 801 W. Chestnut, in Independence. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Altamont. Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. today at the Bath-Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Altamont.
