PITTSBURG — Colene Beech Cinotto, 88, a longtime former Parsons resident, died at 12:10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the Via Christi Village in Pittsburg. She had moved to Pittsburg from Parsons in 1997. She had been in failing health several years.

She was born Jan. 5, 1925, in, Parsons to J.R. “Bill” and Louise (Jones) Beech. She grew up in Parsons and graduated from Parsons High School. She attended Parsons Junior College and Kansas State University at Manhattan.

She married Marvin W. Cinotto on Sept. 28, 1947, in Parsons. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1999.

Her father was the longtime president of First Federal Savings and Loan Association, later named Mid-America Savings and Loan. Marvin Cinotto was also a longtime employee and at the retirement of Mr. Beech succeeded him as president.

Colene was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church and was active in church and civic organizations.

Survivors include a son-in-law, John McLuckie of Pittsburg; a grandson, Justin McLuckie of Atchison; a brother, Gary Beech and his wife, Nadine, of Parker, Colo.; a nephew, Mark Beech and his wife, Allison, of Larchmont, N.Y.; and a niece, Cynthia Lawrence and her husband, Chris, of Chester Springs, Pa.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her only child, Karen McLuckie, who died in 2006.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home.
