Lisa D. McGuire, 51, of Parsons died at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in the emergency room at Labette Health. 

She was born Feb. 7, 1961, in Clovis, N.M., to Darrell L. and Texalee (Adair) Smith. She grew up and attended school in New Mexico. 

After earning an associate degree in dietary management from Labette Community College, McGuire worked several years at Presbyterian Manor in Parsons.

She married Ronnie McGuire. They later divorced.

Survivors include her parents, Darrell and Texalee Smith of Gardner; Justyn McGuire of Pittsburg; two daughters, Birgit Payne of Altamont and Michelle McGuire of Fort Smith, Ark.; a stepson, Levi Lynch of Tulsa; five grandchildren; and a brother, Brad Smith of Gardner;

A celebration of life service and family visitation will be at 6 p.m. today at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home.
