PITTSBURG — Donald A. McCaslin, 95, of Pittsburg died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Medical Lodge South in Pittsburg.

He was born on Oct. 22, 1917, in Coffeyville to Marshall M. and Bessie (Augustine) McCaslin.

He graduated from Coffeyville Junior College in 1937 and from the University of Illinois in 1948.

He served in the Army Air Force in World War II.

In 1954, he married Norma Rouch in Parsons, and they moved to the Pittsburg area in 1956. She survives of the home.

He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1979.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pittsburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Wynema McCaslin and Iris McCaslin.

After cremation, no service is planned. Burial will be at a later date at Fort Scott National Cemetery. Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 114 E. Fourth St., Pittsburg, 66762.
