CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Ruth Joyce Ingram, 79, of Chattanooga, Tenn., formerly of Altamont, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, in Manorhouse Assisted Living in Chattanooga.

She was born on Oct. 4, 1933, in Muskogee, Okla., to Gordon Virgil “Ted” and Ruth Mildred (Whistler) Ogden.

Joyce graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma State University and worked for many years for the University of Missouri Extension Office. 

Survivors include a son, Dale Ingram of Springfield, Mo.; and a sister, Patricia Schaufele of Japan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar; a daughter, Brenda Ingram Laster; and an infant son, Kent Ingram.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fraker Funeral Home of Marshfield, Mo. Burial will follow in Marshfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Tuesday until service time at the funeral home.
