WALNUT — James Wesley Guy, 65, a lifelong Walnut resident, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Wesley Medical Center at Wichita. His death was unexpected.

He was born May 13, 1947, at Walnut a son of Lloyd Benjamin and Josephine May (Lowe) Guy. He attended elementary school at Walnut and then his family moved to Clovis, N.M., where he attended two years of junior high. They then returned to Walnut and he attended and graduated from the Stark High School. He began farming after graduation and continued to for his career.

On June 12, 1965, he married Elaine Guy at Stark. She survives of the home.

In past years he was a member of the Walnut Ruritan Club. He loved animals and enjoyed fishing in past years.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Brian Guy of Walnut; a daughter, Michelle Robinson of rural Farlington; four grandchildren, Cole and Matt Robinson of rural Farlington and Samantha and Ben Guy of Walnut; his father, Lloyd B. Guy of St. Paul; and three sisters, Diantha Lusebrink of Queen Creek, Ariz., Donna Gillard and Linda Sartin, both of rural Girard.

His mother preceded him in death.

A memorial gathering of family and friends will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Smith-Carson-Wall Funeral Home at Girard. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery at Walnut.
