PITTSBURG — Ethel Ann Lloyd, 65, of Pittsburg died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.

She was born Nov. 2, 1947, at Pittsburg the daughter of Frank J. and Norma Minerd Swope. She was raised in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1965. She later attended Pittsburg State University. She lived in Pittsburg most of her life.

She was a direct care support worker at Bridges.

She married Rodney Lloyd on March 19, 1998, at Miami, Okla. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Frank Rooks and his wife, Shauna, of Pittsburg; three daughters, Michelle Hughes and her husband, Thomas, of Parsons, Kimberly Stevens of Pittsburg and Melanie Tyler of Wagoner, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Melinda Brooksher and her husband, Richard, of Pittsburg and Jimmie Stryker and her husband, Louis, of Frontenac.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bedene Funeral Home in Arma with the Rev. Dan Moss officiating. Burial will be in the Pittsburg Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Bedene Chapel, where friends may call after 1 p.m. today.
