NORTHBRIDGE, Mass. — Dean E. Westhoff, 47, of Whitinsville, Mass., died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012.

He was born on July 24, 1965, in Parsons to Bernard and Lois (Miller) Westhoff. He was raised in Cherryvale and graduated from Labette County High School in 1986.

He served honorably with the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1989, earning the rank of sergeant and an Army Achievement Medal and Parachutist Badge, among other decorations.

He married Tammy Woloski in October 1993 in Grafton, Mass. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his father, Bernard Westhoff of Parsons; four children, Amber, Dean Jr., Shelby and Derek Westhoff, all of Whitinsville; four brothers, Bernard “B.J.” Westhoff Jr. and Mike Westhoff, both of Tulsa, Ren Westhoff of Parsons and Frank Westhoff of Cherryvale; two sisters, Vallie Addis of Oswego and Theresa Cameron of Cherryvale; his in-laws, Tom and Marie Woloski of Upton, Mass., and Kathy Goyette of Bourne, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois (Miller) Westhoff.

The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church, Upton. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Upton. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Williams-Pedersen Funeral Home, Upton.
