He was born on July 1, 1959, at Parsons to Raymond and Juanita (Robinson) Walker. He grew up and attended schools in Parsons, graduating from Parsons High School in 1977. He later attended Labette Community College.
He worked at Ruskin Manufacturing for 34 years. He was a quality control foreman. He started working last year at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center as a psychiatric aide.
He married Carol (Crispell) Harvey in July 1995. They later divorced.
He enjoyed playing disc golf and working on his house. He cherished spending time with his son and mother, cooking and smoking meat. Terry had a kind heart and always greeted someone with a big smile.
Survivors include his son, Hunter Harvey of Lawrence, a student at the University of Kansas; his mother, Juanita Walker of Parsons; and his brother, Raymond Walker, and his wife, Linda of Garden City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. Walker, on July 22, 2005.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
