ST. PAUL — Janet McKinzie, 57, died on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at her residence in St. Paul.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1955, in Grand Junction, Colo., to Carlyle “Tuffy” and Cordy Ward. She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1973.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing and playing slot machines.

Survivors include her mother, Cordy Ward of St. Paul; a daughter, Amy Smith and her fiancee, Dustin Surridge, of Dennis; four sons, Gary McKinzie Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Erie, Michael McKinzie of St. Paul, Dennis Reese Jr. of Pittsburg and Manuel Lalicker and his wife, Sharon, of Girard; 16 grandchildren, Bradyn Smith, Ashlynn Smith, Tyler Smith and Payton Surridge, all of Dennis, Breanna Harvey and Trent Harvey, both of Erie, Cara McKinzie of St. Paul, Haden McKinzie of Mesa, Ariz., Robert Reese of Butler, Mo., Joey Reese of Pittsburg, Chris Hix, Daniel Hix, Manuel Lalicker Jr. and Matthew Lalicker, all of Girard, and Christian Cutshall and Jordan Biby, both of Mindenmines, Mo.; a great-grandson, Kane Harvey of Erie; two brothers, Johnny Ward of St. Paul and Wayne Ward of San Antonio; four sisters, Lucy Frost of Mound Valley, Sara Caswell and Cordy Ann Hill, both of St. Paul, and Terry Dewey of Neodesha; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Gary McKinzie Sr.; and two sisters, Sue Chase and Mary Woods.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul United Methodist Church in St. Paul. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Memorials in her name may be made to the family and left with Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.
