CHETOPA — Anellia E. Barker, 70, of Chetopa died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Oswego Medical Center after a sudden and short battle with leukemia.

She was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Chicago. In 1965, she married Jerry Barker in Oswego. He preceded her in death on Feb. 9, 2010.

Anellia worked as a health care provider for many years. 

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Gilley of Chetopa and Pamela Sue Walker-James of Parsons; a stepson, Jerry Wayne Barker of Bartlett; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church in Chetopa.

A private family burial will be later at Oakhill Cemetery in Chetopa.
