Roxford “Rocky” Phelps, 57, of Parsons died at 11:26 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Labette Health in Parsons.

He was born on Nov. 14, 1954, in Salina to Harold Wesley and Marcella Margaret (Griffin) Phelps. He was residing at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.

Survivors include eight brothers, Charles Phelps of Arkansas City, Clayton Phelps of Beverly, Gary Phelps of Littleton, Colo., Ron Phelps of Mahomet, Ill., William Phelps of Golden, Colo., Larry Phelps of Silver Lake, Wendell Phelps of Arvada, Colo., and Wesley Phelps of Tescott.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Greg Phelps.

The service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home, Parsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The private graveside service will be on Saturday at Lincoln City Cemetery in Lincoln.
