He was born May 27, 1953, to Eldon D. and Josephine Dorthy (Arnold) Myers in Independence. He received his education in Independence.
He married Elsie Bertie in Independence. They were later divorced. She survives in Independence.
Mr. Myers was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church and was a loving father and friend.
