Eula Lavon 'Babe' Wylie

PITTSBURG -- Eula Lavon "Babe" Wylie, 81, of Pittsburg, formerly of McCune, died at 12:40 a.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at St. John's Regional Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 8, 1927, at McCune to Roy Edward and Goldie Fern (Kirk) Tridle.

On Aug. 21, 1947, she married Edwin Marriott "Mennie" Wylie at Denver. He preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2005.

Mrs. Wylie worked as a key punch operator for McNally Manufacturing for 22 years.

She was a member of Osage Church of the Brethren.

She will be remembered for her kindness and forever missed. She dearly loved her church and friends.

Survivors include a son, Richard Marriott Wylie and his wife, Janet, of Norman, Okla.; two brothers, Bob Massengale and his wife, Joan, of Howard, Colo., and Bryon Massengale and his wife, Linda, of Aurora, Colo.; a sister, Pat Hicks and her husband, Kerry, of Casper, Wyo.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Mennie.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Osage Church of the Brethren with Pastor Harold Groth officiating. Burial will be in Osage Brethren Cemetery northeast of McCune. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Brenner Mortuary in Pittsburg.
