Gilbert S. “Jiggs” Crooks, 91, a longtime businessman in Parsons, died at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Elmhaven East. He and his wife, Berenice, owned and operated Crooks Hardware store in Parsons from 1959 until retiring in 1986. She preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 2004.
