Eulah Hinton Richardson, 94, of Parsons died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Elmhaven East.

She was born Jan. 31, 1918, at Dallas, Texas, a daughter of Thomas Hinton and Vera Aubra (Moss) Brawley. She lived with her family until they moved to Parsons when she was 13. She later graduated from Parsons High School.

On Aug. 20, 1937, she married Jim Richardson at Hollywood, Calif. The couple owned and operated the former L&N Sundries located on North 26th Street. Mr. Richardson preceded her in death on July 12, 1982.

Mrs. Richardson was an active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was athletic in her early years and loved playing cards.

Survivors include two daughters, Aubra A. Giles of Summerville, S.C., and Deanna Hoffman and her husband, Bob, of Parsons; six grandchildren, Lori Jones of Summerville, S.C., Aaron Hoffman, Asher Hoffman, both of Chattanooga, Tenn., Aarika Lewellen, Autumn Knaup and Amber Hoffman, all of Parsons; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sonja Ward of Parsons.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Darin Giles; a son in-law, Larry Giles; a brother , Connie Claybourn; and a sister, Verda Grubb.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at Parsons. Burial will be later in the Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and may be left at or mailed to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, 67357.
