FORT SCOTT -- Daniel Wayne Weston, 56, of Fort Scott died Thursday morning, Feb. 19, 2009, at Mercy Health Center, Fort Scott.

He was born Dec. 1, 1952, in Arkansas City to Richard Edward and Dorothy Bernice (Bennett) Weston.

He attended Coffeyville Community College and Fort Scott Community College. He worked for 20 years for Mid-Continental.

He is survived by his parents, Dick and Barbara Weston of Oswego and Dorothy Weston of Arkansas City; a daughter, Jennifer Ackley of Mound City; two brothers, Dick Weston of Benton and Daryl Weston of Nevada, Mo.; two stepsisters, Susan Eck of Joplin and Lori White of Parsons; and four grandchildren.

The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial following at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home, Fort Scott.
