He was born on July 26, 1961, in Parsons to John E. and Linda L. (Carson) Beard. He had lived in Galesburg most of his life and graduated from Labette County High School in Altamont in 1980.
For the past 34 years, he had been employed at TecTank (now CST Storage).
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed participating in the Galesburg Days celebration and fishing and hunting. He loved to help people and to ride his Harley motorcycle. He was a member of Galesburg United Methodist Church.
On Jan. 17, 1999, he married Teresa (Correll) Nading in Galesburg. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Willis “Lee” Nading and his wife, Ashley, of Fort Polk, La; two daughters, Amanda Nading and Katie Beard, both of the home; two grandchildren, Annabelle Bailes and Joslynn Brown; his father, John Beard of Galesburg; two sisters, Wendy Moses and her husband, Jerry, of Erie and Terri Winkler and her husband, Ron, of Galesburg; a grandmother, Erma Lea Carson of Parsons; his mother-in-law, Jewell Correll of Fairland, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his mother, Lynn Beard; and his father-in-law, Willis Correll.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Galesburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to a fund for the education of his daughter, Katie.
