Lovetta M. Webb, 85, of Parsons died at 9:40 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Labette Health.
She was born Sept. 28, 1923, at Parsons to Benjamin Basil and Gladys Marie (Warford) Webb. She grew up at Parsons and attended Douglass School, graduating from Douglass High School.
She worked at the Kansas Ordnance Plant, the Swift Co. and for several nursing homes in Parsons as a housekeeper.
She enjoyed collecting dolls and reading. She attended the former Morgan Avenue Christian Church and was currently attended the New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Jarnell Webb, Delmar Webb and Jeffrey Webb, all of Parsons; a daughter, Della Webb of Parsons; 23 grandchildren, Jarnell Webb Jr., Eric Webb Sr., Damon McGlory, Clyde McGlory Sr., Marlaina Webb, Cedric Webb Sr., Marcus Webb, Sheldon Webb, Charles Harvey III, Rasheed Webb, Robert Harris, Shalawnda Reed, Ricky Brown, Tenesa Webb, Gerald Austin Jr., KeToya Brooks, Jeffrey Webb Jr., Donovan Webb, Travis Webb, Iesha Williams, Quincy Ford, Mercedes Ford and Chelsea Ford; a host of great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Webb of Oakland, Calif.; a sister, Gladys Henderson of Houston, Texas; and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Webb; and a sister, Loretta Brooks.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Friends may call the funeral home at their convenience to sign the register.
