CHANUTE — Carl Robert Richardson, 71, of Chanute died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at home.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1940, in El Dorado the son of James Christian and Lucile (Anderson) Richardson. He graduated from Berryville High School, Berryville, Ark., and then the School of the Ozarks. He most recently worked for Cleavers Farm and Home Supply.

On March 19, 1994, he married Laura "Jane" Carlson. She survives of the home.

He is also survived by four daughters, Kim Liggans of Grove, Okla., Shelly Tredway of Erie, Laura Thieman of Branson, Mo., and Nicole Carlson of Austin, Texas; a son, Jeff, of Aurora, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vern Richardson of Berryville, Ark., and Lee Richardson of Knoxville, Tenn.; and Charlene Coombs, the mother of his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church Good News Center in Chanute. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery at Erie. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Chanute.
