Ruth “Tuttie” Wiggins, 49, of Parsons died at 5:35 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at her home. She had been in failing health.

In 1992, she returned to Parsons, where she had lived since. Through the years, she had worked as a waitress at Ernesto’s and, most recently, at Country Mart and Casey’s as a cashier.

She loved animals and plants. She especially enjoyed being involved with her children and their activities and spending time with her grandson.

Survivors include a son, Dustin Dishman, of the home; two daughters, Melissa Dishman of Dallas and Stacia Dishman of the home; a grandson, Payden Dishman; a brother, Bill Wiggins and his wife, Leanna, of Andover; and a sister, Donna Yeoman and her companion, Robert Henslee, of Parsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

The family will have a private graveside service. The public memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Parsons Foursquare Church under the direction of Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service at the church.
