He was born on Aug. 20, 1948, in Detroit and moved to Kansas City, Kan., in the 1950s. He attended school in Leavenworth and Kansas City, Mo.
Survivors include his mother, Betsy Fredrickson; and two sisters, Peggy Sumner and Vicki Gorman, all of Kansas City, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor “Bud” Fredrickson, in 1994.
The funeral liturgy will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kan., where friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leavenworth. Porter Funeral Home & Crematory, Kansas City, Kan., is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the activity fund at the Parsons State Hospital and Training Center.
