She was born on March 24, 1934, at Mound Valley to Joslin and Pearl (Keesler) Stalford. She grew up on a farm east of Edna and attended country schools and Labette County Community High School, from where she graduated in 1952.
She moved to Parsons and worked for Jarboe Cattle Co.
She married Jack R. “Bob” Scott on Dec. 10, 1955, at Edna. He survives of the home.
They moved to Manhattan and lived there while Bob attended Kansas State University. They moved to Tulsa when he graduated in 1963.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, collecting and trying recipes, reading, traveling, going to movies and going to restaurants. She especially loved cooking for her family, and her favorite movie was “Gone with the Wind.”
Other survivors include four sons, Michael Scott, and his wife, Joni, of Springfield, Mo., Daniel Scott of Beverly Hills, Calif., Jeffery Scott, and his wife, Shannon, of Jenks, Okla., and Timothy Scott, and his wife, Jill, of Little Elm, Texas; a daughter, Kimberly Moore, and her husband, Dennis, of Frisco, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Goforth of Miami, Okla.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Stalford.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Parsons. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
