He was born July 21, 1932, at McCune to E. Floyd and Lelia Fern (Kelso) Billington. He attended rural schools and graduated from McCune Rural High School.
On Oct. 24, 1952, he married Sylvia A. Timson at McCune United Methodist Church. She survives of the home.
He served in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a journeyman electrician for Kansas Gas and Electric in Neodesha and Wichita.
Other survivors include a son, Gale Billington of McCune; a daughter, Janna DeBruler of Wichita; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Lawrence Billington.
The service was on Monday at Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.
