CASSATT, S.C. — Vera Viola Stevens, 60, of Cassatt, S.C., died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

She was born on Jan. 1, 1952, in Camden, S.C., to Claude and Martha Viola (Parker) Ray.

She married John Robert Stevens. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Robert E. Stevens of Parsons; a daughter, Patricia “Sissy” Branham of Cassatt; two grandchildren; three brothers, Claude Ray, Charles Ray and Clennie Ray; and six sisters, Mary Alice Osmer, Geneva Lyles, Louise Hall, Carolyn Morris, Jessie Ray Anderson and Sarah Branham.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lugoff Church of God, Lugoff, S.C. Burial will follow in Stevens-Ray Memorial Park, Cassatt. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Powers Funeral Home, Cassatt.
