Rosemary Hartman, 70, of Pittsburg died at 8:07 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 22, 1938, at Hallowell to Ted and Lora Robbins Preston. She attended schools in Hallowell and graduated from Columbus High School in 1956.

She was a homemaker.

She married Raymond Lee Hartman on Sept. 23, 1956, at McCune. He survives of the home.

She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of Pittsburg.

She loved having her family and grandchildren around her and helping others. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Other survivors include her three children, Kathy Shouse of McCune, Christina Mallory of Olathe and Michelle Nikravan of Lee's Summit, Mo.; five grandchildren, Melissa Shouse, Joshua Shouse, Brandon Shouse, Zachary Mallory and Cory Mallory; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy Shouse and Brock Shouse; and two siblings, Ila Mae Froelich and Wyman Preston, both of Hallowell.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Garry Preston.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. today at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor James Sukraw and Pastor C.L. Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow in McKee Cemetery, Hallowell. The family received friends Monday at Brenner Mortuary.
