FREDONIA — Roger Wayne “Rog” Collins, 63, of Fredonia died Friday, March 23, 2012, at his home.

He was born Jan. 19, 1949, in Fredonia to Willard Lee and Norma Sue (Cook) Collins. He graduated from Fredonia High School in 1967.

He worked as a foreman in the oil and gas field industry.

On May 28, 2005, he married Peggy Lee Scheidt. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Cari Short of McPherson and Chelsea Hallacy of Fall River; a brother, Kevin Collins of Strong City; a sister, Kathi Hudson of Parsons; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia, with burial to follow at Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
