Esther Mae Hardesty, 77, of Rose, Okla., formerly of Welch, Okla., and Vinita, Okla., died Monday Jan. 19, 2009, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa.

She was born April 23, 1931, in Carter Nine, Okla., to Radford E. and Meddie Jane (Campbell) Stanley.

She married Walter Floyd Henry, who preceded her in death.

She remarried on April 15, 2000, to Charlie Hardesty. He survives of the home.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church at Leach, Okla. She enjoyed her family, fishing on the pontoon, cook-outs, puzzles, traveling, nature, dancing and going to church.

Survivors also include her children, Roger Dale Henry of Chetopa, Clyde Allen Henry of Welch, Okla., Benny Bert Henry of Vinita, Okla., Jessie Clay Henry of Chetopa, Eva Faye Henry Wallace of Tulsa, Charles Lee Hardesty of Claremore, Okla., Joanna Lynn Williams of Tulsa, Russell Grant Hardesty of Sapulpa, Okla., Paul Douglas Hardesty of Parsons, John Christopher Hardesty of Claremore, Okla., and Michael Peet Hardesty of Chelsea, Okla.; sisters, Geneva Coats of Grove, Okla., and Dolly Gregory of Afton, Okla.; 38 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Martin Henry; a granddaughter, Kimberly Wallace; brothers, Marvin, Claude, Earl and Robert Stanley; and a sister, Novie Green.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, Okla.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Welch Cemetery.
